THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Responding to BJP state president K Surednran's allegations regarding the gold smuggling case involving former IT official Swapna Suresh, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that thoughts of some are to try and trap the chief minister's office and the chief minister in the event of any incident. The allegation from the BJP chief was a part of this.

"This case is being probed effectively by the customs which Surendran should understand. I hope the investigation is carried out perfectly", the CM said.

"The Chief Minister's Office is not a place that covers up wrongdoings which is evident for the public in the last four years of governance. I only want to say that Surendran can't spoil that with his tongue. Don't take a stand to utter any nonsense even if you have a tongue to do that. It doesn't go well with the society", CM Vijayan opined.

The CM added that there are clear hints leading to the accused in the gold smuggling case and no one is going to escape. BJP state chief K Surendran had earlier asked how the accused Swapna Suresh got a government job.
