KOCHI: One more COVID-19 death has been reported in Kerala. 79-year-old Balakrishnan Nair, a native of Pulluvazhi in Ernakulam, died yesterday while under treatment at Kolancheri Medical Mission Hospital and was confirmed with the disease on Saturday.

An urgent meeting was summoned in Rayamangalam panchayat following the death. The health department is preparing a route map. A private clinic in Valayanchirangara where Balakrishnan sought treatment initially has been shut down temporarily. It is believed that Balakrishnan has an extensive contact list. His son is a KSRTC employee. The health department have doubt whether Balakrishnan developed the disease through contact with his son.
