Thriprayar Ramachandran of Cochin Devaswom Board dies

THRISSUR: Thriprayar Ramachandran, one of the main elephants of Cochin Devawom Board, has died. He died at Kokkarni Parambu of Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur. He was 70 years old.

The elephant who was terminally ill owing to old age problems collapsed last Monday. He was later lifted using a crane and treated, but its life could not be saved.

The elephant was presented to the temple by noted abkari contractor K G Bhaskaran. Ramchandran was liked by elephant lovers. The post mortem has been completed and will be cremated soon.
