Engineering entrance exam: Special buses allotted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said that all arrangements have been made for the engineering entrance exam that will be held on July 16. As many as 1,10,250 students will be writing the exam. There are exam centres in Mumbai and Dubai. He also added that a special exam centre will be opened at JC Bose University, Faridabad as the exam centre in Delhi did not get approval. Students from other states can obtain short visit passes through the E-Jagratha portal, he added.

70 students from the COVID super spread areas in Thiruvananthapuram will be able to attend the exam at Valiyathura St Antony's HS. Special KSRTC buses will function in the morning and evening. Those requiring bus service to areas that do not come in the main routes should contact their respective KSRTC depots through Bus on Demand service, the CM added.

All examination centres will be disinfected. 3000 volunteers will be deployed for security purposes. Special rooms will be allotted to students coming from other states as well as those under quarantine, he clarified.

Meanwhile, Entrance Exam Commissioner announced that colour printout of hall ticket is not mandatory. Students who are unable to get print out of their hall ticket can attend the exam by producing Aadhar card.
