COVID patient sexually abused in ambulance, driver arrested

ARANMULA: A driver of 108 Ambulance has been arrested for sexually abusing a COVID-19 patient. The arrested has been identified as Noufal (29) of Keerikode in Kayamkulam. The incident happened at one am in Aranmula.

The incident happened while they were on their way to the treatment centre. The ambulance left from Kozhencherry. There were two patients including the victim when the ambulance left from the place. After the other person was dropped at Kozhencherry district hospital, only the driver and the woman were in the ambulance.

He sexually abused her when the ambulance reached an isolated place. The woman’s detailed statement has been recorded. She will be subjected for a medical examination. Noufal is an accused in many cases including murder attempt.
