THIRUVANANTHPURAM: The NIA team is inspecting C-apt in Vattiyoorkavu in the gold smuggling case. The NIA is examining the documents over the distribution of religious texts brought from UAE Consulate. Unconfirmed reports said the NIA seized some documents from there. The inspection is being carried out by a team from Kochi.

The NIA had questioned Minister K T Jaleel in connection with the distribution of religious texts. It is reported that the inspection is a continuation of this. The customs had earlier inspected C-apt. The religious texts were taken to Malappuram in the vehicle of C-apt. The customs had the other day questioned the drivers of the vehicle.
