THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister has warned at the Left Front meeting that the spread of Covid in the state is set to reach its maximum pace soon. During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the spread of Covid in the state would intensify by mid-October.
He also informed the leaders that the number of Covid cases may go up to 15,000 per day.
The LDF meeting has advised the government not to go for a complete lockdown in the State now. Although the daily Covid cases in the state is currently severe, the Front has decided to consider imposition of complete lockdown after further assessment of the situation in the next two weeks.
LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan told media persons after the meeting that all protest programs of the LDF have been postponed due to the increase in the number of Covid cases in the state every day. He said the decision was taken to ensure that the government's efforts to contain the epidemic didn’t go in vain.
