NEW DELHI: Lashing out at the large police deployed by the Uttar Pradesh government at its border, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor accused the government of challenging the Constitution. Taking it to Twitter, Tharoor wrote, 'Is this UP’s border with Tibet, China? No it’s UP’s border with Delhi! Violating citizens’ freedom of movement is surely against the Constitution of India, right?'

Tharoor also posted a picture of the women police force deployed at the border region. He had earlier announced that he will soon visit Hathras where a Dalit girl was sexually abused and murdered. The incident occurred on September 14. The girl, who was later admitted to the Delhi AIIMS, succumbed to her injuries.
