COVID-19: Thiruvananthapuram reports 467 new cases on Thursday; nine deaths; 1520 recoveries

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state capital recorded 467 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Of the new cases, 349 cases are through contact. There are 11.880 active cases in the district. Meanwhile, 1520 patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.

The district recorded 9 deaths due to COVID-19 on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Pachalloor native Peeru Muhammad (60), Thiruvananthapuram native Vijayakumaran Nair (72), Vallamvettikonam native Raju (45), Plavilakkonam native Sreekumari (58), Mariyapuram native Mohanan (61), Vizhinjam native Rajesh (36), Santhivila native Vijayan (58), Nalandanada native Rajendran (68) and Palayam native Savithri.
