Isolated heavy rains likely in state for five days, yellow alert in ten districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast isolated heavy showers in Kerala for the next five days. Yellow alert has been sounded in various districts.

Yellow alert has been issued in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur today.

Yellow alert has been sounded in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts on October 10 and on October 11 in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts.

A new low pressure has formed near the Andaman Sea in the Bay of Bengal Friday morning. It may become stronger in the next 24 hours and form severe low pressure. Heavy rains are expected in North and Central Kerala based on the effect of it.
