‘Communist Party should not become a short cut for sharing power’: Facebook post of Pannyan Raveendran triggers a row

Those who join the communist party to become MPs and MLA’s will later, ally with Congress and BJP and they will continue to change their political ties to get a pie of power, said Roopesh Pannyan, son of CPI leader Pannyan Raveendran. Roopesh has criticized Jose K Mani’s induction to the LDF camp in his Facebook post, which is written as a satirical poem. The post of the CPI leader’s son which comes in the wake of Jose’s induction to LDF and CPI holding ‘regrettable silence,’ over the issue, has set off a controversy.

For the starving, communism is his reeling stomach, but for the bellyful rich it should not become a short cut to share power. At a time, when it has become imperative to travel with those who want to get a share of power, let’s start a new chapter to disagree with those persons, he writes.
