MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau has busted another module of drug supply in Mumbai where actors were involved in consumption and distribution.

In a recent development, the Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested TV actor Preetika Chauhan after she was caught red handed for buying drugs. She will be produced in Killa court in some time. Preetika Chauhan has worked in TV serials like Savdhaan India and Devo ke Dev Mahadev.

Officials from Mumbai NCB were deployed in plain clothes at two places in Versova , Mumbai. Five people have been arrested in the operation which is still going on.

This comes in the wake of the ongoing drug probe after late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. NCB officials are probing every link of all accused in the case, including suppliers, peddlers and also consumers.

The investigation into Bollywood connection with drugs began when the ED retrieved Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp messages in which she was allegedly discussing drugs with her friends and other people. The ED then asked the NCB to probe the matter. Many Bollywood celebrities came into NCB's radar after this. Actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sharddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh were also questioned in the case.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the NCB along with her brother, Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda and his employee Dipesh Sawant. Rhea and Dipesh were released on bail earlier this month. Rhea spent 28 days in Mumbai's Byculla jail.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14. The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing his death case.
