Closing loopholes, Bengaluru drug case extends to Malayalam film industry

BENGALURU: Reports said probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)'s in the Bengaluru drug case is extending to the Malayalam film industry. The NCB will mainly probe the film connections of Bineesh Kodiyeri and Anoop Muhammed.

Meantime, the NCB has started a move to arraign Bineesh in the case. Officials of the NCB reached the office of the enforcement directorate and collected details. Three NCB officials reached the office of the ED in Shanthi Nagar at 5.30 pm last evening. They held talks with officials of the ED for more than two and a half hours.

Meantime, the NIA is likely to probe the connection of the accused in the gold smuggling case. The investigation by the ED which revealed that Muhammad Anoop is the benami of Bineesh has links with K T Rameez, accused in the gold smuggling case.
