THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 7007 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja informed. Among this, 6152 persons developed the disease through contact including 717 cases without an identified source of infection. 86 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. Also, 52 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 7252 patients tested negative for the virus today.
The state recorded 29 COVID deaths on Wednesday with the toll rising to 1771.

With the addition of 19 new regions today and the removal of 13, there are 622 hotspots in the state.
