NEW DELHI: Lawyer Prashant Bhushan congratulates Kerala government for not implementing the controversial amendments in Kerala police act. It is after witnessing stiff protests from the party itself that the government decided to implement the law only after thorough discussions in the legislative assembly. Prashant Bhushan in his Twitter post has said that it is gratifying to learn that there are still some CMs who are sensitive to Independent public opinion.

Prashant Bhushan on Sunday has lashed out at the amendments in the Kerala police act. He said the law is draconian & bound to be abused to silence dissent. Former union finance minister P Chidambaram has also expressed dissent over the new amendments in the law. With this, the law attained national attention.
