COVID: Kerala reports 6250 cases on Saturday; 5474 cases through contact, 25 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 6250 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among this, 5474 persons developed the disease through contact including 628 cases without an identified source of infection. 92 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 56 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5275 patients tested negative for the virus today.

The state recorded 25 COVID deaths on Saturday with the toll rising to 2196.

Kasargod- 137

In the last 24 hours, 63,983 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 9.77.

With the addition of 6 new regions today and the removal of 2, there are 530 hotspots in the state.
