Stray dogs maul 65-year-old man to death in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: A 65-year-old man was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs at Kuttippuram in Malappuram. He has been identified as Sankaran of Kuttippuram.

The dogs bit him while he was on a walk last evening on the sides of Bharathapuzha. Some youths who were playing football saw him lying down bleeding profusely. They immediately took him to a hospital in Thrissur.

As wastes are dumped in Bharathapuzha, the annoyance of stray dogs are severe and the locals had complained about it earlier.
