NRI businessman offers to build house for housewife in Kazhakoottam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An NRI businessman has come to the rescue of the housewife and children who were evicted from their house by the neighbours. It was Ambalur MI Shanavas, an NRI businessman who extended help to the housewife after coming to know about the demolition of the house built in the poromboke land (unassessed land).

Shanavas said that he is ready to build a house for the family. He also informed that he will pay their house rent till the new house is ready. The incident that took place on December 17 came to light today evening. Surumi, a housewife, and her three minor children were living in a shed in Kazhakoottam Sainik Nagar. Neighbours who came here with weapons evicted the family and demolished the house.
