54-year-old woman hacked to death in Piravom, accused held

KOCHI: A 54-year-old woman was hacked to death at Piravom in Ernakulam. She has been identified as K P Shyamala of Vattapparambil. Soon after the incident, the police arrested Sivaraman, an auto driver who was staying with her. Police said he suspected her of having an affair and cited this as the reason for the murder.
