Nariyampara native Santhosh Abraham, the security guard of the outlet, got injured on his left hand and was rushed to the hospital. Kattappana police have registered a case against Pradosh, a native of Thankamani. He has gone hiding.

The incident occurred in front of the Kattappana beverage outlet by around 4.45 pm. Though Pradosh had ordered for half a litre of liquor, he found that the bill mentioned only a pint.
