Befriends women as loco pilot, takes them along and robs, marriage fraudster held

PAZHAYANGADI: Sub inspector E Jayachandran arrested a 52-year-old man identified as M P Sreejan, a native of Paravoor in Ernakulam. He is often known as Aliyaz, a marriage fraudster tricking women in different names. He was arrested from Kannur. He had registered his name in marriage bureaus of villages introducing him as loco pilot.

He was staying with a woman at Kulvayal in Pazhayangadi without legally marrying her. Meanwhile, he got some numbers of women from a marriage bureau in Pazhayangadi. He then contacts and lures them, takes them along and after sexually abusing them robs their belongings.

It has been stated that he lured a woman from Vengara, took her to Payyannur, Kannur, Guruvayur and Kannur and then abused her sexually. He was arrested following a complaint lodged
