Vijayadas, who twice represented Kongad in the assembly, lived in the minds of the people as a great collaborator and farmer. During his tenure as the district panchayat president, Vijayadas took over and implemented the Meenvallam hydropower project. This is the first time in Asia a district panchayat executing a hydropower project. Before the formation of DYFI, he came to the public sphere via KSYF. He has been jailed once. The Sports Complex at Parali School and the Brahmagiri Chicken Farm in Attappadi are some of his unique projects contributed to Palakkad. Vijayadas was currently a member of the CPM Palakkad district secretariat.
