THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran has refused to rule out the possibility of contesting the upcoming assembly elections. Speaking to the media, Mullappally said that he was a disciplined activist who had always obeyed the instructions of the All India Congress leadership and that the decision should be taken by the High Command.
Mullappally said that he did not have any idea about the reports which stated that he would contest in Kalpetta. The KPCC president also refused to respond to K Muraleedharan's statement. Earlier, Muraleedharan had said that the Vattiyoorkavu by-election could have been avoided if Mullappally had contested.
Mullappally further said that Congress has a collective leadership in Kerala and that senior leader Oommen Chandy has been active in state politics. He also supported Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennihala by stating that it was Chennithala who exposed the major corruptions of the Left government.
