Election date likely to be announced on March 7, says PM Modi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hinted that the date of Assembly elections will be announced on March 7. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister during the election campaign in Assam.

"Last year, the election date was announced on March 4. But I understand that this date will be announced on the 7th of next month, which is the end of the first week of March. Until then, the aim is to reach out to the states where elections were taking place," Modi said.
