Former MLA B Raghavan no more

KOLLAM: Former MLA B Raghavan passed away Tuesday morning. He was 69. He died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. He was CPM state committee member and KSKTU former state president. He was chairman of SCST Corporation.

B Raghavan and his family were shifted to Parippally Medical College Hospital two weeks back after confirmed of the virus. Raghavan was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital when his condition turned worse after developing pneumonia.

Although, he tested negative, his condition remained serious. His kidneys were damaged. He died at 4.45 am this morning. He had represented Neduvathur constituency in Kollam thrice. His body will be cremated at the premises of his house in Thamarakudy following COVID rules. He leaves behind his wife Renuka and children Rakesh R Raghavan and Rakhi R Raghavan.
