'We are here to fight BJP, people of Kerala know it'; CM slams Rahul Gandhi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday lashed out at the Congress and Rahul Gandhi. According to Pinarayi, Rahul Gandhi, who is keen to criticize the LDF whenever he comes to Kerala, does not have the same attitude towards the BJP. While claiming that the very existence of the Congress in Kerala was due to the strength of the LDF, the CM asked why Rahul Gandhi was avoiding confronting the BJP. The Chief Minister was inaugurating the concluding session of the LDF's southern regional march.

Pinarayi Vijayan asked how Congress lost control in Puducherry and whether Rahul Gandhi was able to do anything about it. This is not the approach that Rahul Gandhi should take in the current political climate, he said. The CM said that the Left was not worried about the date of the Assembly elections which was announced on Friday. He added that the LDF is with the people and the people are with the LDF. He further added that the LDF was here to fight the BJP and that the people of this state knew about it.
