THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Youth Congress workers have ended their hunger strike that was held in solidarity with the protest of the PSC candidates in front of the secretariat. The decision to end the protest was taken after the PSC candidates ended their protest. Shafi Parampil MLA responded that the Youth Congress will continue to pressurize the government and will hold discussions with the candidates who are currently on strike.

"The government has now taken a favorable decision as it feared a political backlash. This decision could have been taken earlier. The government did not show any courtesy to the protesters." Shafi Parambil said. He said that the CM's insistence was the reason for the protracted strike and that he should publicly apologize to the candidates.
