Chief secretary V P Joy’s sister dies in accident

KOZHIKODE: State chief secretary V P Joy’ sister died after the car she was driving collided with a lorry near Koodathumpara. Celine V Peter of Ramanattukara died Friday morning while undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the accident. The incident happened last night at 7 pm. She was on her way to Star Care Hospital in Kozhikode to see her daughter who gave birth to a baby three days back.

The Tamil Nadu registration lorry was proceeding to Ramanattukara with goods. Only Celine was in the car. She was immediately rushed to Baby Memorial Hospital. She died this morning while undergoing treatment in the ICU. She leaves behind her husband O V Maxis, air traffic control joint general manager of Karipur Airport and daughter Dr Aneeshya Selus and son-in-law Arun Alosius.
