BENGALURU: The Karnataka Government filed an affidavit against PDP chairman Abdul Nazar Madhani in the Supreme Court. The government has mentioned in the affidavit that he should not be permitted to go to Kerala and if allowed he will try to sabotage the case after joining hands with terrorist groups. The affidavit was filed on his plea seeking permission to go to Kerala. The affidavit filed by the Karnataka home department asserted that if he is freed there are chances for him to engage in terrorist activities again and also there are many other cases against him. Some terrorists linked to Islamic organizations in Pakistan were recently arrested from Kerala and Karnataka. Karnataka is mainly raising that Madhani is likely to come in contact with such people.

Madhani approached the Supreme Court seeking permission to stay in Kerala till the trial in the Bengaluru blast case is over. SC Chief Justice S A Bobde while considering this plea last week had mentioned that Madhani was a dangerous person and had been involved in serious crimes. Madhani was granted bail in the Bengaluru blast case in 2014. However, the court had then ruled that he should remain in Bengaluru itself. Following this, he is still staying in Bangalore itself.
