MALAPPURAM: A body, which is believed to be that of a young woman, was found buried in a deserted field in Valanchery. The body was found in a decomposed state. The incident took place at Chottoor near Kanjippura. The body is believed to be that of a 21-year-old woman who went missing 40 days ago from the area.

Subeera Farhat, daughter of Kizhakkaparambat Kabir, has been missing since March 10. Following the incident, top officials led by Tirur DySP Suresh Babu inspected the spot. The body was found buried about 300 meters from Subeera's house on Tuesday evening. Subeera, who worked at a dental clinic in Vettichira, was seen on her way to work from home on the morning of her disappearance. An investigation was started after the doctor at the clinic informed the family about her absence from work.
