KSRTC to reduce night services; services after 9 pm will operate on reservation

ks

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the state imposing a night curfew, the KSRTC is planning to reduce its night services. However, a decision has not been made regarding the number of services that will be suspended. The number of buses plying within the districts will be reduced. Long-distance services will not be reduced. The KSRTC will seek the permission of the government for this.

CMD Biju Prabhakar hinted that the non-reserved services will be reduced and that services after 9 pm will operate based on reservation. This will be informed to the Chief Secretary.

Meanwhile, ordinary people are finding it difficult to travel by buses due to the restrictions. At present, the services are not adequate even during day time. With the reduction of night services, passengers will find it even more difficult to reach their homes.
