BENGALURU: Bineesh Kodiyeri, arrested in the money laundering case, has moved the Karnataka High Court seeking bail. His bail plea mentioned that his father Kodieryi Balakrishnan’s illness is serious and that his presence is needed and so bail should be granted. He also produced the medical certificate related to the health condition of Kodiyeri.
Advocate Krishnan Venugopal appeared for Bineesh in the case. The court will consider his bail plea again on April 22. The court will hear the objection of Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday. Bineesh is the fourth accused in the money laundering case being investigated by the ED in drug deal.
The ED arrested Bineesh on October 29 in 2020. He is in judicial custody in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail. The Bengaluru Sessions Court had in February rejected his bail plea.
