Son caught riding bike; mother sentenced to one day in jail, fined

KASARGOD: The mother of a minor boy was sentenced to one day in jail and fined Rs 25,000 after her son was caught riding a sports bike. The court convicted the mother of a student who hails from Kundamkuzhi.

The incident took place on March 17, 2020. The student who came by bike from Kundamkuzhi was nabbed by Bedakam CI T Uttamdas was arrested. Upon questioning, the boy revealed that it was his mother who bought him the expensive bike. Following this, a case was registered against the mother. A case was registered against the son under the Juvenile Department.
