THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr. Sunil P Elayidom has lashed out at the Kerala police for registering a case against a lecturer who posted on Facebook that food should be delivered to those taking part in the Arippa land agitation during the lockdown. Taking it to Facebook, Sunil Elayidom demanded that the police should immediately withdraw the case registered against Prof. Kusumam Joseph.

'There is no justification for the claim that the Facebook post calling for food to be delivered to the tribals taking part in the Arippa land agitation during the lockdown is a call for riots. Registering the case in this regard is a complete denial of justice. It is a police encroachment on basic civil liberties. That case should be withdrawn immediately,' he wrote on his Facebook page.
