M M Mani’s lead cross 20,000, Udumbnachola to stand with Ashan again?

IDUKKI: LDF’s M M Mani is setting a new record in Udumbanchola. M M Mani is far ahead of others with 20,000 votes. UDF’s E M Agusty is far behind Mani. NDA’s candidate in Udumpanchola is Santhosh Madhavan. Udumpanchola is one of the constituencies in Idukki where a tough triangular contest is witnessed.

In 1996, during his first elections in Udumbanchola, M M Mani has lost the polls to E M Agusty. UDF had expected that it can hoist the victory flag in Udumbanchola through a strong campaign but the left front was also confident of increasing its vote share to more than 20,000 votes.
