Balakrishna Pillai took adamant stand on issues that he thought as right; Thiruvanchoor remembers the pioneer leader of Kerala Congress

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has said that Balakrishna Pillai was like a senior family member in the Assembly. “He took adamant stand on issues that he thought as right,” Thiruvanchoor said.

“When Balakrishna Pillai stood up to talk treasury and opposition benches paid heed to his words. Even his words, his jokes, the stands taken by him on various issues need to be carefully studied,” he said.

“There are only a few departments that were not handled by Balakrishna Pillai. He had also handled the KSRTC. His personality is still a point of discussion among the workers. He behaves even to his critics in a natural way but he always stood along with justice and what is right,” Thiruvanchoor said.
