Bomb in ice cream cup explodes in Kannur; two children injured

KANNUR: Two children injured in Kannur in a bomb explosion. The injured children are five and 1.5 years old. The bomb was covered in an empty ice cream box. The accident happened when children were playing with the ice cream box. The five-year-old boy who was seriously injured in the accident was admitted to Pariyaram medical college. The police have also informed that the bomb was placed in an ice cream box and they have started its scrutiny.

The incident happened at Padikachale, near Irutti in Kannur. This place is known for poll-related skirmishes. Police think that it was the political party workers who have made the bomb.
