Media persons will be declared COVID frontline fighters; government order will be issued today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government will declare media persons as frontline fighters in the fight against COVID-19. With this, media persons will be given priority in making the COVID vaccine available. The Chief Minister's Office has said that the order declaring media persons as COVID frontline fighters will be issued today. Apart from the media persons, some other sections involved in the fight against COVID are also likely to be included in the list of frontline fighters, sources said.

It is learnt that an announcement regarding this will be made at the Chief Minister's press conference this evening. Mathrubhumi senior chief reporter Vipin Chand died of COVID infection yesterday.
