THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 27,487 COVID-19 cases on Monday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among these, 24,815 persons developed the disease through contact, including 2303 cases without an identified source of infection. 255 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 114 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.
31,209 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 4,19,726 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 65 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 5879.
