'Two lakh Christian girls were converted'; case registered against PC George for making communal remarks

KOTTAYAM: A case has been registered against JanapakshaM leader and former Poonjar MLA PC George for making hate speech against the Muslim community. The case has been registered against him for making unsubstantiated allegations that two lakh Christian girls have been converted to make Kerala a Muslim majority state.

The former MLA said this in an interview to an online media on May 9. Following this, Erattupetta native MM Mujeeb lodged a complaint at the Erattupetta police station alleging that George's remarks were racist and were aimed at fomenting rivalry between the Christian and Muslim communities.
