ADOOR: Two men were arrested for distilling and selling arrack under the guise of an ambulance and mobile mortuary. The arrested accused have been identified as Karunya ambulance owner and driver Abdul Razaq and his aide Anees. 5 litre arrack and other raw materials were seized from them. The raw material used to prepare the arrack was stored mobile mortuary and in a large container. The mobile mortuary was found in a shed next to Rasaq's house.
According to police, the arrack was distilled inside the house. Charcoal and batteries were also used in the distillation process. Abdul Razaq is running an ambulance service in front of the Adoor General Hospital. Earlier, police had received information that Razaq was smuggling cannabis under the guise of an ambulance.
