Vaccination of people in 18-44 years age group from tomorrow onwards; 1.91 lakh people registered in two days

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vaccination of people belonging to the priority list in the 18 to 44 years age group in the state will start tomorrow. People with comorbidities at this age are included in the first priority list. The health department has made preparations for this. Guidelines for vaccinating people between the ages of 18 and 44 have also been issued.

Vaccination of those who have registered for the priority will take place from tomorrow. After reviewing the documents provided at the district level, the eligible candidates will be notified via SMS stating the vaccination center, date and time according to priority and availability of the vaccine. Those who reach the vaccination center will be required to produce an appointment SMS, Aadhaar or other valid identification document and co-morbidity certificate.

More than 4.88 lakh people have visited the website in the last two days. A total of 1,90,745 people registered for vaccination. Nearly 40,000 people have uploaded their documents. Priority will be given to those who have uploaded documents related to comorbidities. Eligible candidates who have been rejected can reapply with sufficient documents.
