Young man killed in wild buffalo attack

KARUVARAKUNDU: A youth was killed after he was attacked by a wild buffalo that entered a residential area in Karuvarakundu, Malappuram. The deceased has been identified as Karuvarakundu native Shaji (42). Shaji was attacked while he attempted to send the wild buffalo back into the wild. The incident took place around 10 am.

Though Shaji was rushed to a private hospital in Perinthalmanna, he soon succumbed to his injuries. He is survived by his wife and three children. He returned home from abroad a month ago.

According to sources, the huge wild buffalo terrorized the people living in Kundoda and Kakkara regions. Locals said that the animal even tried to break into their houses.
