After hitting bumper of Rs one crore, Covid claims life of winner leaving his dreams shattered

MALA: The life of Abdul Khader has been shattered by misfortune before living as a millionaire after winning the lottery. Abdul Khader, 64, of Malapallipuram, died of Covid-19.

Khader was the lucky winner of Kerala lottery’s Bhagyamitra worth Rs one crore drawn on March 7. Khader was unfortunate enough to die before he could start his life as a rich man. He ran a barber shop in Mala, but it was closed due to Covid.

Khader, who used to buy tickets for an average of Rs 200 daily, shared many wishes when he became rich. He left behind his dreams which he hoped to fulfil when he received the money. He will be buried today. He leaves behind his wife Safia and son Askar.
