Consumers in containment zones can take meter readings on their own

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has informed that consumers in the containment zones will be able to record and submit their electricity meter readings. KSEB also released a set of instructions on how to take the meter reading and submit it. The video is available on KSEB's Facebook page.

After checking the readings recorded by the customer and the reading in the photo, the customer will be notified via SMS of the amount to be paid. This service is available to those who have registered their mobile number with KSEB.
