Milma lifts restrictions on milk procurement; surplus milk to be distributed to CFLTCs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Milma's restrictions on the procurement of milk were completely lifted from yesterday. Milma's decision to procure the entire milk comes after the government decided to distribute the surplus milk to anganwadis, domiciliary care centres, Covid first-line treatment centres (CFLTC), migrant labor camps, and tribal colonies. Until yesterday, only 60 percent of milk was procured. Dairy farmers who were distressed by the non-procurement of milk after the afternoons were relieved following the new decision.
