THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan has said that there is a discrepancy in the death toll in the state. He said that the figures revealed by the doctors do not match the figures given by the Chief Minister during the press conference. Muraleedharan wrote on Facebook that the figures revealed by the doctors of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College confirm the rumors that Kerala is hiding the death toll.

'The figures revealed by the doctors of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College yesterday are not in line with the figures given in the evening press conference of the Chief Minister. According to doctors, there were 70 Kovid deaths at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College on May 12. But on that day, according to government figures, only 14 people died in the Thiruvananthapuram district. The official death toll reported by the state government on that day was 95. So where did the 56 people who died at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College go? The doctors said that there was no more space in the Medical College mortuary to keep bodies. Why was it so? Are the doctors lying or is it the government that is lying?' Muraleedharan wrote on his Facebook page.
