Would talk politics outside assembly, says MB Rajesh; VD Satheesan slams speaker

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Tuesday said that he was hurt by the statement made by newly elected speaker MB Rajesh saying that he would talk politics outside the assembly.

According to Satheesan, if the Speaker makes political statements, the opposition will have to react to it and this may affect the assembly proceedings. "The statement made by you, the other day that you will indulge in politicking outside the house, for some reason pained us. In case you engage in it, then we might have to respond in the same manner and I doubt if it would be good," Satheesan said while congratulating the speaker after he was elected.
