V D Satheesan selected UDF chairman, I felt insulted, says Chennithala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan has been selected as the UDF chairman. He was chosen as the chairman at the UDF meet convened here today. However, KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran stayed away from the meet. His explanation was that he is not attending the meet as he has stepped down from the post.

Meantime, Ramesh Chennithala sent a letter to Sonia Gandhi saying that he felt humiliated when a new opposition leader was appointed. He had sent an emotional letter to Sonia Gandhi.

‘Should have told me earlier that I would be removed from the post. If had informed earlier, I would have stepped down from the post. I was insulted when the elections were held. I did not get the support of the party in my fight against the government,’ he said.
