kodakara

THRISSUR: RSS activist Dharmarajan said the hawala money robbed in Kodakara belonged to the BJP. He had told police earlier that the money was brought for the BJP. The police team said Dharmarajan reiterated the same statement when interrogated twice. With this, the BJP leadership is unable to distance from the case.

BJP Thrissur district office secretary Satheesh was questioned the other day in the case. He told police that he doesn’t know Dharmarajan and had not spoken to him directly. Satheesh told police that he had booked rooms for them in a lodge in Thrissur as per the instruction of the leaders.

The police had earlier found that Dharmarajan, a native of Kozhikode, was in constant touch with some BJP leaders via phone. However, when questioned the BJP leaders they said they spoke to him in connection with the distribution of election materials.

The police in a probe found that Dharmarajan has no post in the BJP. He neither had any election duties. Following that, he was questioned the other day. In this interrogation also he told police that the money was brought for the BJP.

The police will conduct a search at the houses of the accused to find the stolen money. In a search conducted earlier, nothing could be found. The police have so far recovered Rs 1.28 crore from the accused.
